First, I’m not a mass-produced cheesball bachelor, comfortably occupied by sitting at home missing the fun instead of living it up with friends. It’s unlikely you have never read me post on great dating and relationships. Go figure.

Idleness is a fixable quality and completely never written into my values. Let me go on, There’s no point avoiding it, I had to end a special fling which meant a lot for us but simply wasn’t meant to be. Therefore one could tell ya it has been ages since I dated. I can’t find the great expectations for dating that came naturally before.

Being single is new and free. This much is certain, I refuse to stay in faithfully watching Jack Bauer (from 24) reruns. The primary reason for this bout of weekend dating loneliness? The people I know are settling down, and everyone else is boring.

My take-no-holds college buddy, Jim, who doesn’t know the meaning of dating boredom, told me he’s now somewhere he can relate. He linked me to the Great Expectations Dating service. Not usually my thing, but I can’t argue with meeting sophisticated chicas who meet my values. Surprise, I got real about my dating life and joined.

Be honest, ya can’t complain due to being alone when ya haven’t stepped off the bench. As my old basketball coach Chris Simms chimed in as his idea of encouragement, “Fools lose before they try, sparky.”

Sheer genius, right? Even so, the old man was right in a round about way. He meant well to everyone. This care-free series of singles events in Dallas here might’ve done a number on the gipper’s noggin’./p>

Last night at a Great Expectations happy hour I talked to a ton of accomplished and attractive women that hold my interest. I truthfully had a blast with a few indisputably incredible people. I ducked out of the mixer a little early with a promising exchange of numbers, and as a plus, I came across some social networking acquaintances for work. Very cool.

Put yourself in the play. You won’t score if you don’t. Don’t sell yourself short, you might as well have great expectations for great dating.

Sincerely,

Caleb

In cyberspace - there is an abundance of advice for dating - for both men and women. Below are 4 tips to aid you on your first date.

Step One -

You shouldn’t act just to impress her. Be yourself! You’re going to lose her interest if she has to concentrate on your act or attitude. Try to pretend that she is just a friend and you aren’t trying to win her over, and possibly you’ll be comfortable enough to more easily be yourself.

Step 2:

Remember - first impressions count! Make sure she doesn’t think you will be a boring partner. Don’t lecture too much - and try to balance the conversation. Don’t just say yes or no to her inquiries, but you also do not want to state your biography either. If you simply lecture about yourself, then you will sound highly conceited and uninteresting!

3rd Tip:

You need to look confident on your first singles date. You need to make her feel like you are bright and entertaining. When you talk, you need to sound sure, but not arrogant. Don’t make her detest you before she starts to experience you! You don’t need to make your 1st date, your last date!

For my last tip - you need to have fun with dating online! Try and forget your nerves, and worries. Pretend like your not even on a date - but instead, just hanging out with your friend. Hopefully your first date will be a memorable one.
