Your Model Is Yourself Part Two
Your Model is Yourself part 2 By B. Butler How does a online poker player define their own personal style? For the most part, this is not a question that can be answered in the mouth or on paper. Because a winning style, and a vibrant style, must be transient, shapeshifting, so then must the online poker player’s idea of how the game works in cohesion with their way. Rather than becoming an amorphous project, however, for many players this becomes a question of developing several modes: semblances of self that you can move your mind into when in the proper situation. These styles, though, are not concrete molds, and are not selected as one would wear a mask. The hand to hand definition of a greater player calls for acting in the manner that hand demands. The greatest players at Everest Poker, then, aren’t even a rolodex of styles, but more of experience, and of being able to change at the drop of a dime. They take the basics of a strong player: reading ability, knowledge of odds, pressure, timing, poise, etc., and combine it into a fluid image that corresponds to what is needed in each given situation. An amorphous body, ready to take what is presented. A shifting system, with a center, but one with vision, and great aim.
